Canine Distemper:
A 17 week old German Shepard dog that was purchased from a breeder in the Fraser Valley presented to a veterinary clinic on April 6, 2022 with severe neurologic and skin disease. PCR testing confirmed distemper. This dog had to be euthanized. There has also been an outbreak of distemper in a shelter in Calgary
Please make sure that you dog has had its vaccine in the last year.
