The post mortem results are in from the kitten that tragically died for apparently no reason prior to surgery. This kitten was a pure bred from the USA and had a congenital heart defect which resulted in the heart stopping suddenly. The heart failure was already so advanced that the kitten’s lungs and liver were affected. It would not have survived to adulthood with this abnormal heart.
Vaccines had nothing to do with the kitten’s death. The kitten would have succumbed to her disease even if it was diagnosed because there is no treatment.
This is a sad ending to a young life and our sympathy goes out to the family at this time.
